Giannis Antetokounmpo has proven himself to be one of the truly elite players in the NBA. NBA Champion and Finals MVP, the "Greek Freak" is also the holder of the 7th highest sports card sold to date - Panini National Treasures Logoman Patch Autograph Auto 1/1 sold for $1,857,000 in Sept 2020. This card, the Panini Next Day Personal Edition though not as rare, holds its own significance. The example offered is THE first card signed by Giannis (more on that later). Panini makes 100 Next Day cards of all the rookies that are inserted into Panini products each year. They also made 90 Personal Edition cards. 55 are given to the players to disburse how they choose and the additional 35 are inserted in sets and each player that attended the Rookie Transition Program received one complete set. Most of these Personal Editions end up in a drawer or in a pocket and either disappear or are completely banged up as the recipient of them is family or friends and NOT collectors. There have been a total of 2 of the Personal Editions graded by PSA and none are noted as Personal Editions by Beckett. This one is by far the nicest with a grade of 6 on the card and 8 on the Auto. The Cardscore grade assigned was 73!!! which more reflects the true grade of the card.
